Tandil is a ideal place for outdoor activities, For those that enjoy horse-riding, almost all organized horse-riding trips choose the Reserva Del Tigre as a destination for their groups, along with Las Dinas, Sierra Don Bosco, Centenario mountain and the Virility Rock, for rock climbing and rappel there are places to practise it, thanks to the granite rocks out of the city, mountain biking is an activity that grows everyday and has many followers, there are several rental agencies within town. Good places for hikers and trekkers are the Sierra Las Animas, 504 meters above sea level, another point much more visited is Centinela Mountain, a small peak topped by El Centinela, Tandil is a good place for parachuting and hang-gliding, the Tandil Parachuting Club (tel. +54 2293-445005/426125) gives you the possibility to practise this sport, swimmers can try the pools of the Balneario del Sol (Avenida Zarini s/n, tel. 02293-435697) on the Dique del Fuerte. Photo Safaris are common in Tandil also.
Several meters of the Dique del Fuerte reservoir, lies the Reserva Natural Sierra del Tigre, where can see species such as guanacos, deers, antelopes, pumas, grey foxes and �andues.
