The City of BarilocheSan Carlos de Bariloche or simply Bariloche, is in the heart of the Nahuel Huapi National Park, it has turned into one of the main tourist destinations in Argentina and is one of the most famous tourist resorts area in Argentina. Is the most populated town of the Rio Negro Province, with 100,000 inhabitants, and about 1,000,000 persons visit this beautiful resort every year. The city present a combination between the facilities designed by man and the beauty of nature. In Bariloche, the highest temperature ranges between 19ºC and 22ºC, while the lowest is about 5ºC, in the summer; and in the winter, the highest temperature is between 5ºC and 7ºC and the lowest is always below 0ºC; An important event is the National festival of Tango, between end of April and begin of May, displaying Milongas shows, events and concerts related to tango. Other important event is La Fiesta de la Nieve (Snow Festival), in July, with cultural events and concerts. The city has elegant houses and hotels, fine restaurants, many discos and pubs, for the best comfort of the visitants. Some of its main attractions are: THE CIVIC CENTER Is one of the most characteristic places in the city, is located at the beginning of the San Martin street, is a charming complex of buildings, built by Ernesto Estrada in 1940, using cypress and larch wood and piedra toba stone (a dark greenish-gray rock), he was inspired by the architecture of Bern, Switzerland. The Civic Center is conformed by the main Government building, the Municipal Tourist Board, Dependency of Police, Town Council of the National Park Nahuel Huapi, the Patagonian Museum, the Sala Frey (a hall for cultural activities) and Sarmiento Public Library, the clock tower of the municipality, twice a day at noon and 6 p.m., displays a parade of four figures representing an Indian, a missionary, a conqueror and a farmer. At the center of the plaza, there are a controversial monument to the General Roca, who fought against indigenous people in the 1800's, the local association of natives consider it an offense to them. PATAGONIAN MUSEUM The "Francisco P. Moreno" Patagonian Museum, was inaugurated in 1940 by the National Parks Management, named in honor of the famous explorer of this Patagonian rivers, who donated the lands that were transformed into the first National Park in Argentina. Its objective is to document the natural history of the Patagonian environment, its historical collection has been growing thanks to donations, legacies and investigations. The building occupies the East wing of the Civic Centre of San Carlos de Bariloche, a building complex declared National Historical Monument is open from Tuesday to Friday, from 10.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and 14.00 p.m. to 19.00 p.m., Mondays is open from 10.00 a.m. to 13.00 p.m. and closed on Sunday The museum is divided into four thematic rooms:
